En pleno coraz\u00f3n de la comarca. Su paisaje est\u00e1 formado por campos de cultivo de olivos, cereales y vi\u00f1edos. Produce un exquisito mosto y vinos j\u00f3venes y afrutados. A 15 km de la capital y con una poblaci\u00f3n de 4818 habitantes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Su origen es de \u00e9poca de Al-Andalus como una importante alquer\u00ed\u00ada.<\/span><br \/>\n<span>Durante la conquista cristiana fue donada por el rey Alfonso X quien marc\u00f3 la historia de este pueblo cuando lo don\u00f3 mediante carta-puebla al Cabildo Eclesi\u00e1stico de Sevilla. A partir de entonces la historia y la vida de Umbrete corren paralelas a las de la capital.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Cuenta con edificios y monumentos de inter\u00e9s como el Palacio Arzobispal y la Iglesia de la Consolaci\u00f3n y otras construcciones y casas se\u00f1oriales notables.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>En Umbrete se celebra el\u00a0<\/span><b>24 de Agosto<\/b><span>\u00a0el d\u00eda de San Bartolom\u00e9, Patr\u00f3n de la localidad desde el siglo XVII y que adem\u00e1s se hace coincidir con la semana de feria.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Los arroces caldosos y los guisos de cuchara como la<em> caldereta, la cola de toro y la perdiz con arroz.
